“Beatitudes”산 에서 하셨던 이 유명한 설교에서, 예수님께서는 거짓 선지자들을 주의하라고 경고하십니다. 진정한 선지자는 오직 성경을 따르며 예수님의 가르침에 신실한 이들 입니다. 거짓 선지자는 하나님께서 보내신 이 인양 변장하여 다가와 기독교 교리를 동요시킬 것입니다. 어떤 크리스챤들은 예수님께서 이솝 이야기(620-560BC)의 이리가 음식을 더 쉽게 얻기 위해 양털을 뒤집어 썼다는 비유를 인용하셨다고도 합니다. 결국 이 비유의 마지막에 그 이리는 양을 잡으려는 양치기에 의해 죽고 맙니다.
