起きよ、光を放て。あなたを照らす光は昇り／主の栄光はあなたの上に輝く。(イザヤ書60:1)

意味

「立ち上がって輝く」という表現は、一般的に軍隊で、目を覚まし、ベッドを離れる命令として使用される。そこから転じてモーニングコールとして使用されるようになった。
