bible verse
“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
meaning
If something happens in the twinkling of an eye, it happens very quickly.
origin and application
Paul the apostle was converted to Christianity on his road to Damascus when Jesus Christ revealed himself to him. In this book, Paul reminded us that flesh and spirit cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The moment when Lord comes again, our perishable body will be changed immediately, in a flash or “in the twinkling of an eye”, to enter God’s kingdom.
