“وبعد الزلزلة النار؛ ولم يكن الرب في النار. وبعد النار صوت منخفض خفيف”

إيليا هو النبي الذي كان متحمس جدا للرب. وكما هو مكرس كما هو لا يزال يعاني من الانتكاسات العاطفية. وبينما تعرض للاضطهاد من قبل ايزابيل، ملكة إسرائيل، تراجع إلى كهف وقضى الليل هناك. سأله الله، وطلب منه الخروج والوقوف على الجبل لرؤية الرب يمر هناك.فوقف، ورياح عظيمة دمرت الجبال والصخور، ولكن الرب لم يكن في مهب الريح. بعد الرياح كان الزلزال، ولكن الرب لم يكن في الزلزال. بعد الزلزال كان النار، ولكن الرب لم يكن في النار. ثم جاء صوت صغير خفيف من الرب وقال: “ماذا تفعل هنا، يا إيليا؟”
