JAY-sən (English)
The name originated from the Greek name Ιασων (Iason) which came from Greek ιασθαι (iasthai), meaning "healer". In the New Testament, Jason appeared in the Book of Acts and the Book of Romans in which his house was used to shelter Paul and Silas from being caught.
