Love thy neighbour (Leviticus 19:18)

Picture description:
God gives Moses the Ten Commandments.
Picture copyright:Cook Communications Ministries
Bible Verse:
"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:18 KJV)
Origin and Application:
“Thy” is an archaic word for “your”. God first mentioned “love thy neighbour as thyself” as one of the various laws he set out before Moses. But which laws are considered more significant than the others? When asked this question by the disciples, Jesus told us that there are no greater commandments than “love the Lord your God with all your heart…” and “love your neighbour as yourself” (Mark 12:31), because these two commandments represent the summary of all God’s law and character.
