Bible Verse:
“When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood”
Origin and Application:
Isaiah, an Old Testament prophet, rebuked the people of Israel of their hypocrisy. Their hands were used in prayer as much as were used in violent and sinful acts. They committed murder, rape, oppression and persecuted prophets. Their hands were full of blood.
Blood is on the hands of the dissident group which opened fire at the crowds.
