Bible Verse:
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
Meaning:
Origin and Application:
Paul the apostle in his letter to the churches in Galatia, a Greek city, reminded the people there of the duty to live a life of faith in Christ, because people will be judged in the final judgment according to what they did in the past. Another way of saying this phrase is “you reap what you sow”. Good begets good, evil begets evil. In Chinese, there is a similar saying: “If a man plants melons he will reap melons; if he sows beans, he will reap beans.” What you did in the past, good or bad, will return to you in the future.
Example:
Keywords :
reap    sow    fruit    reward
